Every Rooster shares the same precise, confident core — sharp observation, high standards, and an instinct for excellence. But the element of your specific birth year adds a distinct layer to how that Rooster energy expresses itself. Think of it like a Rooster archetype: same sign, different style.

🐓 The Legend Behind the Sign

Before the Rooster became the herald of dawn, there was a bird whose eyes held two pupils each, who could fight tigers with its bare wings, and whose image alone was enough to drive evil from a door.

In the seventieth year of Emperor Yao's reign, envoys from the distant kingdom of Zhizhi arrived with a gift: the Chongming Bird — a great rooster with plumage like a phoenix and two pupils in each eye. It could seize tigers in its talons. Demons fled at its approach, not because it attacked them, but because its four-pupiled gaze saw through every disguise they wore.

When the bird returned to its homeland, the people carved its likeness above their doors. The demons retreated just as they had from the living creature. Over centuries, the carving simplified into the painted rooster on Chinese gates at New Year — not as decoration, but as guardian.

You don't have to fight the darkness. You just have to look at it directly.
